Clean. Modern. Edgy. Trendy. These are the
words that come to mind when I enter one of Harlem's newest
restaurants. Evidently, the owners placed premium importance on
creating the perfect mood and ambiance. They've succeeded, and I
look forward to a night of wonderful dining.
As my date and I peruse the menu, we are
both excited by the variety of options available to us. Do I
want the smoked duck risotto or the salmon wrapped scallops as
an appetizer? After asking the friendly waiter for his opinion,
I opt for the scallops and choose the honeyed Cornish hen as my
entrée. My date elects to feast on the Cider-Brined Baby Pork
Back Ribs.
When our dishes arrive, the food
presentation rivals the décor. At first nibble, the Cornish hen
melts in my mouth – it is perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy.
I sample the ribs, and have 3 words: to die for. We enjoy our
leisurely meal, take in the romantic, laid back atmosphere, and
hum along to the soft music.
At the end of the meal, the waiter tells us
that we can't leave without trying the apple pie…and with little
convincing, I give in. Each part of the meal is better than the
next, and crumbs on the plate are all that remain of the
scrumptious dessert.
Dinner for two, including drinks and
gratuity, will run you about $60, well worth it for the service,
décor and sizeable portions. Thank you Revival for a wonderful
evening, and welcome back to the neighborhood.
